Onset began in 2006, when my mother, Kavita Jhunjhunwala, turned leftover fabrics from our export house into thoughtfully crafted cushions. What started as a creative expression soon found its way into homes that valued warmth, detail, and individuality. She wasn't from the industry, but her creativity was instinctive and limitless — each piece carrying a story of resourcefulness, artistry, and a love for making something beautiful out of what already existed.
Hi, this is Neha Jhunjhunwala, co-founder of Onset Homes. I studied textiles at the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science and have always been surrounded by fabrics, design, and the process of creating. Growing up in this space, it was never just work — it's something I've always enjoyed and naturally been drawn to.
In 2020, we reimagined this journey as Onset Homes. Rooted in craftsmanship and driven by design, we chose to slow things down in a fast-paced world — working closely with artisans, embracing hand embroidery, and celebrating the beauty of imperfection. For us, no two homes should look the same.
Today, Onset Homes creates bespoke, turnkey soft furnishing solutions — designed to reflect you. Your space, your story, your way.

Our designs draw from the rich textile heritage of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Bengal — translated for the modern home.
